Johannes was an AMAZING tour guide. He brought Cape Town to life for us through his passion, storytelling and knowledge. We had 2 fantastic days which he customized for our interests - filled with Magnificent views, flora/fauna, history, culture and delicious food. Johannes was highly recommended by a friend so our expectations were high but he exceeded them. Hands down the best tour guide we’ve ever had.

Johannes is a great guide! Our tour of the Cape Peninsula was fantastic, even though the weather was cloudy. He has an immense knowledge of Cape Town and South Africa history. He even accommodated our specific requests to go off the beaten path to check out some great birding spots. We even saw hippos! We would recommend Cool Cape Travel to anyone visiting Cape Town. As two gay women, we felt completely comfortable with Johannes!

We did the cape tour with Johannes. He is an excellent host, with lots of interesting information to share with his guests. We had a great day - it was like being on a day out with a very organised friend. 10/10 highly recommend

Johannes is an absolute superstar. He made our trip to Cape Town the best we could ever have. He brought us to the best most beautiful spots in the Cape whilst telling us the history behind each and every one of them. My favourite part of the tour was seeing the penguins at Bolders Beach and having Johannes sharing with us his knowledge about them. He is so passionate about South Africa and its culture it made us fall in love with it too. Thank you, Johannes we will most certainly be back and partially is because of you hehehe ❤️🇿🇦

We did the cape peninsula tour with Johannes and it was so fun from the beginning to the end. We highly recommend booking a tour with him. It won’t disappoint!

Our day exploring with Johannes was wonderful. He was punctual, thorough and a great storyteller. Just a lovely guy that we really enjoyed talking to and spending the day with. He structured a great day seeing all of the sights of the Cape Peninsula and took us to a cozy cafe for lunch. I can’t recommend him and this tour enough! So much better than those rushed bus tours with loads of people. If we had more time in Cape Town we would have booked him again for more tours. Thanks, Johannes!

Far and away the best way to see Cape Town! We did two tours with Johannes (Cape Peninsula and Winelands) and cannot recommend both highly enough. Johannes is so knowledgeable about all things Cape Town, entertaining, and personable! Everything felt custom and exactly what we wanted.

Here is the English translation: Johannes showed us Cape Town and its surroundings and explained the history of the city as well as the history of South Africa. He did so with humor and anecdotes. He pointed out connections and, not least, drew our attention to interesting little details. We spent a fantastic day with him. We would have loved to listen to him for much longer.
